Let's watch the eclipse together!
As you know, we surveyed DCS families and staff to help determine our plans for the April 8 solar eclipse. We had 313 responses to our survey. Thank you for all the responses! 55% of respondents voted to extend the school day a little so we can view the eclipse together. So that's our plan! If the weather holds out, we hope that family and community members will join us at 3 PM. Please take a look at
THIS FLYER
for detailed information about our plans.

Thank you DCS Voters
Deposit CSD voters have approved all three propositions put before them on the ballot on March 4.
Proposition #1: The use of the Capital Reserve Fund to a maximum of $600,000 for improvements to the safety and security features in the district; PASSED 103-37.
Proposition #2: Establishment of a new Capital Reserve Fund; PASSED 109-31.
Proposition #3: Transportation for all elementary students on school transportation; PASSED 95-45.
"I am thankful for all of the taxpayers who took the time to cast their vote," said DCS Superintendent Denise Cook. "We value our community participation in the decisions that get made for our District and hope that taxpayers feel engaged in the issues and process. In the next couple of months, we’ll be hosting meetings and informational sessions about the budget vote that will occur in May. We look forward to continuing our work together."
DCS Students Hit the Big Apple
