The Deposit and Hancock school districts are holding a contest to select an official logo for their merged athletic teams.
While both the Deposit Lumberjacks and Hancock Wildcats have longstanding traditions, unique identities and proud histories, the majority of their athletics programs are merged as part of a shared-services agreement designed to offer more opportunities for students in both districts.
These merged athletic teams, known as the Deposit-Hancock Eagles since 2012, have already produced a state championship, multiple Section 4 titles, program stability at both districts, and life-long friendships.
Deposit and Hancock previously collaborated to select an eagle as the official mascot for their merged athletics programs. Now, it’s time to choose an official logo.
Local designers have created three D-H logos for the contest, which will be promoted on each district’s website and social-media pages in May. Voting will be open from May 3-14, 2021, online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PYJPPH3.
Results will be announced on each district’s digital platforms (Facebook, Twitter, website). The winning logo will be incorporated into athletic uniforms and accessories when the need to purchase new items for our athletic programs arises. More details are forthcoming.
