Capital Project 2021

Capital Project 2021

The capital project is underway!! At the end of June, demolition began in both the middle/high school and elementary buildings. Improvements in the elementary building are minor and include new drainage and flooring on the first floor, some HVAC work, and site improvements such as pavement repairs. In the middle/high school, the technology room, main office, nurse's office and guidance suite have been demolished. We'll continue to provide updates on the project with newsletters and on our Facebook page.

Yes - 91 Votes
No - 40 Votes

In the near future, we'll be working with the architects, Highland Associates, to submit our plans to New York State for approval. We'll report our progress to the community through each and every step of the project!

Overview

On March 12, 2021, Deposit CSD put forth a referendum for a capital project that would address much needed improvements to our facilities. The scope of the project has been in the making for a few years and is the result of input from staff, students, community members, and health and safety specialists. All improvements address efficiency, safety, or curriculum needs. This page will include information and graphics to help you learn about the project. The best part of this project is that it will not raise taxes in any way, because the district intends to use the capital reserve fund to maximize state aid.
