A day for showing love, marking a milestone, and saying good-bye

Wednesday, February 14 was a very eventful day at DCS! Not only was it Valentine's Day, but it was also the 100th day of school for 2023-24, and the last day of work for a cherished member of our DCS family.

From Denise Cook, Superintendent of Schools:
Lori Wheeler has dedicated 28 years to serving the kids and families of Deposit. During that time, she has gone above and beyond to make mealtime nutritious and fun for all. Check out the pictures. What do you see? Smiling faces, yummy food, and a joyful atmosphere! Lori was recognized for her work not only in Deposit, but also in the region. She fed us during good times and bad. She has an amazing heart for kids and cooking, and we're honored that she chose to share that gift with our school community. While we're sad to see her go, we're so happy that she'll be able to take some time to relax and enjoy herself in retirement. Please join us in wishing Lori Wheeler the best in her retirement!
