Camp Lumberjack Students Perform "Welcome to the Jungle"
On August 1st at 10:30 am the students of Camp Lumberjack at Deposit Elementary gave a stunning performance of "Welcome to the Jungle", a mini-musical on Aesop's fable "The Lion and the Mouse", by Andy Beck and Brian Fisher. The seats were packed and by the time the curtain opened there was standing room only. The story was carried out by students at the Kindergarten level through 5th grade. Each and every performer shined as they sang their hearts out and committed to each of their animal characters. There were monkeys, elephants, giraffes, hippos, a mouse and a lion. The leads portrayed their lines with amazing ease and truly conveyed a fantastic story. This was definitely a show to see! Camp Lumberjack hopes to keep these summer shows going for years to come!
