Registration and Attendance

Registration

Welcome to the Deposit Central School District. We look forward to working with you and your student(s).

All students entering the Deposit Central School District for the first time, or moving back into the district, must register at the building of the student's attendance.  Enrollment forms are available in the main offices of each building or can be mailed to parents/guardians upon request. The forms to the right of this page can be downloaded and filled out prior to your visit to the main office for official registration. The forms found on the website will help you start the registration process, but do not include all forms that need to be filled out during the process. The rest of the forms can be accessed when you visit the school.

Parental proof of identity, proof of student's age, residency (two forms) and immunization records are required at the time of registration.

Regular Office Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Summer Office Hours: 8:00-3:00 p.m. (Monday-Thursday)

Attendance

The Deposit Central School District believes that an important relationship exists between class attendance and student performance. A student's presence, as well as his/her active participation in class is critical to academic success. To this end, cooperation among all members of the community, including parents, students, teachers, administrators and support staff, is critical.

Excused absences are defined as absences due to personal illness, family illness/death, impassable roads or weather, religious observance, quarantine, required court programs, military obligations or such other reasons as may be approved by the Commissioner of Education. Any other absence would be considered unexcused subject to review by a building administrator.

The district expects parents to call the school promptly if their child is absent AND provide a written explanation for the absence upon the student's return to school.

When a student is absent, the school/district will make reasonable efforts to notify the student's parent/guardian.

It is important that parents and guardians provide current contact information to that ensure proper notification can be made. If you have a change in address, home telephone, mobile telephone or employer information, please provide this to the Main Office at your child's school,
